Inspiring all Girls to be Strong, Smart, and Bold

Girls Inc. of Long Island programming is for middle & high school girls across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

We offer school-based and community programs that combine mentoring, hands-on learning, and a pro-girl environment.

Our holistic, evidence-based approach supports the whole girl – physically, socially, emotionally, and academically – helping her navigate gender, economic, and social barriers. With the support of trained Program Facilitators and incorporation of safe spaces, girls gain the confidence, skills, and resilience to thrive in school, pursue higher education, and become leaders in their communities.

Girls Inc. girls grow up healthy (strong), educated (smart), and independent (bold).

School-Based Programs

School-based programs take place afterschool or in-school and include an informal, engaging and age-appropriate curriculum focused on leadership, mind and body wellness, STEM, financial literacy, digital media literacy, hygiene, menstruation, advocacy, and college/career readiness. Programming empowers girls to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Community Programs

Community Programs give girls the space to explore who they are and who they want to become. Through interactive activities, girls dive into topics like leadership and advocacy, STEM, healthy relationships, and career pathways. These experiences help girls discover their strengths, build new skills, and connect with a community that inspires them to succeed. Community Programs are open to middle and high school girls, in grades 6-12, from across Long Island, regardless of whether or not they participate in a school-based program.
