Bold Future Leaders

Bold Future Leaders (BFL) is Girls Inc. of Long Island’s signature leadership, college-readiness, and career-development program for high school girls across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Grounded in the evidence-informed Girls Inc. Experience, BFL provides a supportive, girl-centered environment where participants build confidence, recognize their strengths, explore future pathways, and develop the skills needed to lead in their schools, workplaces, and communities.

Through interactive workshops and experiential learning, participants engage in:

• Leadership & Communication: Build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop leadership strategies.
• College & Career Readiness: Explore college and career pathways, build résumés, participate in mock interviews, and gain professional skills. Access to college scholarships ranging $1,000-$25,000
• Financial Literacy: Develop foundational skills for making informed financial decisions and planning for the future.
• Mentorship & Professional Engagement: Connect with professional women through mentorship, guest speakers, and interactive career panels.
• Experiential Learning: Visit colleges, workplaces, and community organizations to connect learning to real-world opportunities.
• Networking & Leadership Experiences: Participate in exclusive opportunities designed to expand networks, build relationships, and practice leadership beyond the classroom.
• Girls Inc. Community: Receive Girls Inc. of Long Island merchandise and become part of a supportive network of girls and women committed to helping one another thrive.

BFL is a commitment-based program, not a drop-in program. Participants are expected to attend sessions regularly and fully engage in the program experience.
