LONG ISLAND, NY (March 2026) — Girls Inc. of Long Island proudly celebrates alumna and Project Accelerate participant Karina Tiniganay, a student at Molloy University, who recently delivered a powerful TEDx Talk on the importance of women’s empowerment.
In her talk, Karina reflected on her personal journey and highlighted the impact of Girls Inc. of Long Island in helping her build confidence, find her voice, and embrace her leadership potential. Her remarks underscored the importance of mentorship, community, and access to opportunities that empower young women to thrive.
“Seeing Karina step onto the TEDx stage and share her story is exactly why we do this work,” said Dr. Pat Charlemagne, Executive Director of Girls Inc. of Long Island. “She represents what is possible when girls are supported, challenged, and empowered to lead. We are incredibly proud of her.”
